Grocery shopping is definitely not one of my favorite tasks to complete every week and being a pregnant shopper doesn’t make it any easier. When I first heard about the new Safeway grocery store opening in Altamonte Springs I was a little excited. I’ve heard from friends and family in the past that it’s definitely worth shopping at Safeway. They have great perks such a just for U savings tool which is available through the Safeway app, gas rewards with Chevron, and my favorite – grocery delivery.
Once I heard about all of these perks I was definitely sold on shopping at the new Safeway. So earlier this week Tatiana and I headed to Safeway to get our weekly grocery shopping done to experience the store for ourselves.
Upon first walking into the store, I noticed the beautiful floral section and Starbucks. That just won me over even more!
Some favorites of the Safeway stores include an expanded natural and organic section, over 30 fresh juices pressed and packaged on-site daily, local products from partners such as Mike’s Pies, a deli with a quick bake, artisan Pizza Bar and expanded multicultural hot food selections.
One of my favorite things about Safeway is the grocery delivery and great savings. New customers get free delivery on their first order. You may also qualify for free or discounted delivery fees on subsequent orders. Their delivery program offers a one-hour delivery windows and a “Shop By History” feature that saves all previously purchased items for easy repeat purchasing. I mean how much easier can it get? I know that I love anything that makes my grocery shopping easier. All of the trucks are equipped with both refrigerated and frozen compartments, so frozen items stay frozen and refrigerated items are cool when delivered. The grocery delivery will definitely come in handy once baby #2 arrives.
As for savings, the Safeway app makes shopping a breeze. Hundreds of offers are loaded onto the app and you don’t need to have a savings card, sort through ads and flyers, or clip coupons. I don’t know about you but sorting through ads and clipping coupons is just not something that I have time for so I’m glad that Safeway makes it easy with their app. Another great feature of the app is that you can make lists of everything that is on sale and cross it off as you go along. This is the perfect way to keep your kids occupied during those dreaded shopping trips. I allow Tatiana to keep track off the list and mark things off as we shop. It makes shopping quicker for us and it makes her happy that she gets to be involved.
And last but not least, if you love savings you’ll love their gas rewards partnership with Chevron where you can earn gas rewards every time you shop at Safeway. You can redeem up to $.20 / gallon in Gas Rewards at participating Chevron stations.
The location in Altamonte Springs isn’t the only new store. Safeway has also opened new stores in Oakland Park and Largo. So if you’re in those areas, you get to experience the store for yourself. I’m sure you’ll love it.
